Pamukkale is known as "Cotton Castle" in Turkish and on seeing the stalactites and the white moon craters filled with effervescent water, you'll want to know more about this incredible natural wonder. Pamukkale was also renowned in the ancient world as being a curing center of skin ailments due to calcium in its thermal pools. you will also visit the historical city of Hierapolis which was abandoned due to the spread of malaria many centuries ago. It is now known as the Necropolis (Dead City). Your guide will show you various types of ornately carved limestone tombs as well as Apollo Temple, the Theatre and the mysterious Poison Pit! There will be also an opportunity to bathe in "Cleopatra's Pool - it's like relaxing in warm champagne. For anyone who wants to experience Turkey to the fullest, Pamukkale is one of the must-see places! This all natural mıracle was formed by calcium rich mineral water and limestone from the hot springs underground. The springs are said to have healing powers, helping with stiff joints and troublesome skin, Rumour has it, you will look ten years younger after a quick dip!
